Pre surgical procedures require one day, the surgical intervention lasts about an hour, and postoperative care requires hospitalization for 3-4 days after the intervention. Oophorectomy can be performed via laparotomy or laparoscopy.
Myomectomy
Myomectomy refers to the surgical removal of non cancerous uterine fibroids, also known as myomas. The presence of myomas can cause irregular and heavy bleeding or can cause infertility. Myomas can be located inside the cavity of the uterus (intramural myomas), outside the wall of the uterus (sub serous) and sub mucous that are partially in the cavity and partially in the wall of the uterus. Pre surgical procedures require one day, the surgical intervention lasts about an hour, and postoperative care requires hospitalization for 3-4 days after the intervention. Oophorectomy can be performed via laparothomy or laparoscopy, or in combining these two procedures.
Surgical treatment of endometriosys
Endometriosis is the condition characterized by the growth of the endometrial tissue out of the uterus. This growth most often occurs in the ovaries, fallopian tubes, vagina and peritoneum. Depending on the occurrence and localization of the endometriosis can be removed via laparoscopy or during the classical open surgery.
